How it works, for any institution

Less data, less risk

You see the result of the checks, not the documents. Payslips are checked and deleted, and nothing about protected characteristics is ever collected. You end up holding less personal data than today.

3. You get an email.

Each application arrives as a single email, showing who they are, what's been verified and their own message to you.

That's it: no software to install, no new login and no change to how you list. Renters can still apply the usual way if they prefer.

Our agent finds verified renters looking for something similar and lets them know, and they apply through your link. As well as screening the applicants you already get, Mayfain sends you inbound, qualified, verified leads. Renters only get alerts they've asked for, and they choose every application themselves.

Mayfain checks the documents automatically, so you know whether an applicant is verified without seeing their payslips, ID or salary. Payslips are checked and deleted. If you offer someone the property and need documents for the lease, the renter sends them to you directly. You set your own affordability rule: rent up to 30% or 35% of gross income.

Why this matters now.

Consumer AI assistants can already fill in forms and send messages for their users, and many renters will soon ask one to find and apply for flats. Any renter, or any AI agent acting for one, can apply through your Mayfain link, but only applications tied to a real, verified person arrive marked as verified.

Digital identity wallets are coming.

Every EU country must offer a digital identity wallet, and banks and other large regulated businesses will have to accept them. Accepting one directly means registering as a “relying party”, managing access certificates and checking credentials against EU trust lists. A broker who's paid when a policy is placed wants those requests to be real and complete. Mayfain for government and public services Exploring

The wallet proves who you are. Mayfain puts it to work.

We are exploring this and in early conversations. Mayfain is not partnered with any government body.

What's coming

By the end of 2026 every EU country must offer a digital identity wallet. Ireland's Government Digital Wallet, linked to MyGovID, will let people hold their ID and other official documents on their phone, and banks and other large regulated businesses must accept these wallets during 2027.

The gap for small businesses

Accepting a wallet directly isn't simple. A business has to register as a relying party, manage access certificates, support the wallet's technical standards and check credentials against EU trust lists. Big banks can fund that. A three-person letting agency, a local broker or a crèche can't.

A network of Mayfain-powered businesses

We want to give the whole Mayfain network access to the wallet: Mayfain does the registration and the technical work once, and every Mayfain-powered business can trust wallet-verified customers through the link they already use. The EU framework provides for intermediaries acting on behalf of relying parties.

More than the wallet

The wallet holds proof. It doesn't remember what you were doing, fill in an application, chase a reply or tell you what's next. Mayfain adds the parts around it:

  • Memory of what you're trying to get done.
  • An action layer, so tasks get completed with the institutions you deal with.
  • An agent that puts the wallet to work, so a verified credential becomes a finished application, with your approval at every step.

Every credential the state issues makes Mayfain better, not obsolete.

Agents are coming to public services too

Citizens' AI agents will soon fill in public-service forms. Public bodies will need to know there's a real, consenting person behind each one, without adding friction for everyone else. Revenue already lets accountants act for taxpayers through an approved link rather than a shared password; agents need the same principle: invited in, not impersonating.
